Peer Review Policy

Journal of Environment and Interdisciplinary Development uses double anonymous peer review policy in the review and refereeing of articles. This means that the identity of the author and reviewers will be anonymous in the process. Therefore, the authors should note that their article should not disclose the authors' information in any way.


The process of reviewing articles

Article submission terms and conditions

  • The article submitted will only be accepted through the online submission system (https://www.envjournal.ir/) and the manuscripts submitted by letter or e-mail will not be considered.
  • Manuscripts not prepared based on the authors' guide content, will not be considered.
  • The manuscripts submitted to the journal are reviewed by researchers and experts in the fields of natural resources and environment confidentially without knowing the names and identities of the authors. The Editor in Chief and members of the Editorial Board also participate in this process with the aim of ensuring the high quality of the articles. Therefore, the final acceptance or rejection of the article based on the comments of the reviewers is the responsibility of the Editorial Board members and the Editor in Chief of the journal.
  • All the articles submitted to the journal will be checked by the similarity search system of the Persian scientific texts and if the lack of originality is detected, the article will not be included the reviewing process.
  • The duration of acceptance depends on the amount of corrections requested and the reviewers’ points of view, and the speed and accuracy of the corrections by the authors.

 

 

Article acceptance process (three to five months):

Initial submission and review stage (7 to 10 days)

  • Registration of the article by the corresponding author in the system of the Journal of Environment and Interdisciplinary Development, including filling in the details of the authors and the submitted article.
  • Initial review of the manuscript by the Editor in Chief based on the criteria such as the appropriateness of the article's subject with the aims and goals of the journal, proper quality in terms of content and science, innovation and adherence to the journal's format, and if necessary, referral to the author for structural corrections (7 to 10 days).

Review stage (on average 3 months)

  • Sending the article to three expert reviewers in the subject area of the manuscript (3 days).
  • The reviewers are not necessarily the reviewers proposed by the author.
  • The initial results of the review will be notified to the corresponding author within three months on average.
  • If the reviewers do not perform the review at the appointed time, the article will be sent again to a new reviewer/s.
  • If the manuscript is rejected by 2 reviewers, the journal will remove it from the acceptance process and the author will be informed.

Revise stage

  • If the reviewers request a general or partial revision of the manuscript, it will be returned to the corresponding author for corrections (two weeks to one month).
  • If necessary, the article will be sent to one of the previous reviewers for comparative evaluation (two weeks to one month).
  • The Editorial Board and the Editor in Chief will adopt the final decision based on the review performed.
  • If the manuscript is rejected, the author will be informed, and if accepted, the author will be notified to pay the publication/acceptance fee (one week).

Edition and preparing the article stage

  • The article will be sent for English edition (two weeks).
  • The article will be sent for page layout.
  • The waiting time for articles to be published depends on the number of articles accepted.
  • After completing the articles of each volume, the article will be published and can be downloaded as a free PDF file on the journal’s website.
  • It should be noted that in each of the above stages, the manuscript may need to be returned to the corresponding author(s) for correction and revision.
